Welcome to the Counselor Page!  My name is Jena Pickett and this is my 9th year as a school counselor and 14th year in education.  I graduated high school in Mansfield, TX, then went to SMU (Dallas, TX) to play collegiate soccer and received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology along with my teacher certification.  I received my Masters in School Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University, where I was able to study abroad in London to learn and certify in Solution Focused and Narrative Therapy.  I am happily married to my amazing husband, Michael, and he is an Assistant Principal in Granbury ISD.  My miracle baby boy was born October 2021 and we are just smitten over him. I have two great step-sons, Griffin and Cooper and we have 1 spoiled dog.  I am beyond excited to continue my career in Tolar ISD! I am drawn to this wonderful community and the pride and spirit everyone has for our school and students!  My passion as a counselor is College and Career Readiness, I truly believe every student has strengths to become successful in whatever they do and I want to help them find it.
