My name is D'Anne Woody. This is my twenty-second year to teach in what I consider to be the "best school in Texas," Tolar Elementary! I earned my degree from Tarleton State University in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1997. I have been married for 32 years to Joe Woody. He is a 32 year lineman for Tri County Electric. Together we live in Tolar with our three dogs (Riggin, Tikki, and Deogie) and our 5 cats (FeFe, Betty, Lucy, Tuff, and PawPaw.) We have a daughter, Hannah, who is a proud RATTLER graduate and now a fellow Tolar Elementary teacher. We have also been blessed with an amazing son-in-law, Cody. Together, they call Tolar home as well. I am a dedicated Rattler fan! I enjoy spending time with my family, going 4 wheeler riding, taking drives in our Jeep with the top OFF!, cooking and collecting cookbooks, shopping (I love BLING, flip flops, and headbands), summer cruising to beaches, and watching PBR!!!.
I want students who enter the doors of our classroom to feel secure, respected, and loved. I want students to feel encouraged to EXPLORE, DISCOVER, and CREATE while SOARING INTO A NEW LEARNING ADVENTURE! I want students to leave our classroom with a love for learning and a confidence in themselves so that they may become the leaders of our future.
I am PROUD to be a part of the Tolar Rattler Team! Also, I am looking forward to educating our future, our own TOLAR RATTLERS!
