We're proud to share that Tolar ISD's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) application was fully approved! Our district will participate in a Data Capture Year during the 2025-2026 school year as part of this statewide initiative designed to reward and retain highly effective teachers. We will be entering our data validation year during the 2026-2027 school year. Expansion to our application has been filed and waiting approval. If approved, we will increase our eligible teachers by 28 additional teaching assignments.

 

What is the Teacher Incentive Allotment?

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 to provide a realistic pathway for top teachers to earn six-figure salaries and to help attract and retain highly effective teachers at traditionally hard-to-staff schools. 
Unlike previous education programs, the Teacher Incentive Allotment is not a grant. Through approved local designation systems, districts can identify and designate outstanding teachers based on student growth and classroom observation. Employing designated teachers generates extra funding for districts to reward top performers.

The TIA funding map shows the allotment values for each district and campus. Allotment values are updated annually in April based on the current school year student demographics and the campus' rual status.

Teachers of English III, English IV, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Social Studies Grade 5, Social Studies Grade 6, Social Studies Grade 7, World History, World Geography, Economics, Government, Personal Financial Literacy, Science Grade 6, Science Grade 7, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Systems, Grade 5 Art, Art Level 1, PHYSICAL EDUCATION K-5, Principles of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Agricultural Mechanic & Metal Technologies, Principles of Business Marketing and Finance, Principles of Applied Engineering, Principles of Health Science, and Floral Design.
