Mrs. Anderson

First, let me say how excited I am to be your child’s teacher this year! I have loved working with the teachers and administrators here in Tolar ISD this past year, and I can’t wait to get this year started. This will be my 11th year of teaching, and my 1st to teach second grade. I have also taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade, so I have seen where your students come from and where they are going.

I am married to my husband Bryan who is Pastor of Family Ministries and Youth at FBC Glen Rose, where we have served for over four and a half years. We have a daughter who is a Senior at West Texas A&M, studying Animal Science/Pre-Vet Med. Our son just started 10th grade in Glen Rose and is looking forward to a great year as well. I have many years of teaching experience; I taught private piano for a long time but decided to get my teaching certification after our son was born (I have restarted my music studio since moving here). I hold a Bachelor’s of Music from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman’s University.

My philosophy of teaching embraces the idea that we are all a part of your child’s learning. The teacher, the parents/caregivers, and the student all work together to support the child and help provide the best educational experience he/she can have. I welcome all information you would like to share with me about your child, and I encourage you to let me know, by email, SeeSaw, or note, if you have any concerns or exciting things to share throughout the year (they usually tell me a lot about what is going on anywayJ).

If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask them. I will meet your child on his/her level, and we will continue to learn together as we go through this second grade year!
