Transfer Student Application
The Tolar ISD does accept transfer students who live outside of the district on a limited basis. There is no required tuition or payment if a student is accepted as a transfer student within our district. Approval of transfer students will be based upon:
1. The availability of space and instructional staff on a given campus or grade level
2. The disciplinary record of the student seeking admission.
3. The academic achievement of the student seeking admission including the student’s performance on applicable state-mandated assessments, the student’s record of promotion to the next grade level, the student’s grades, and the student’s extracurricular record and involvement.
4. The attendance record of the student seeking admission.
5. The parent’s compliance with District and Campus policies and regulations.
TO APPLY FOR ENROLLMENT:
1. Review the transfer policy FDA (LOCAL)
2. For new transfer applicants, complete the following documents and return to Tolar ISD, Attention: Travis Stilwell, Superintendent. The application packet will be accepted only with the following documents:
· Completed 25-26 Tolar ISD Student Transfer Form
· Latest Report card
· State required test scores for the previous school year (grades 3-12)
· Any other standardized test results (if applicable)
· Attendance history
· Discipline records for the previous school year’s grading period.
3. For transfer students currently attending Tolar ISD schools, simply complete the Transfer Agreement/Application Form and turn in to your campus principal.
4. Completed applications will then be forwarded to the applicable campus that will schedule an interview with the student and parents.
5. The campus will submit a recommendation to either deny or approve the request based on the established criteria.
6. A letter will be sent to you regarding the status of the application.
